As an architect who got her contractor's license to build her own projects, I was stunned to find out how rampant fraud is in how contractors represent themselves. Coming from my role as an Architect, we are held to a professional code of conduct which entrusts us to be legal 'Agents' to our clients. We uphold an oath of ethics and our duty to protect: through code compliance, financial advisement, and our commitment to put the client first, above our own interests.
